Connecticut’s Ameresco Utility Company Issues A Generous Energy Rebate For Energy Efficiencies

Energy efficiencies are an important way for businesses to institute green measures in their facilities. Many technologies are eligible for state utility and independent energy company incentives for businesses that promote using green equipment in commercial buildings. Businesses can use an energy rebate to both their financial and clean energy advantage when they use energy-saving commercial equipment.

President Obama has focused many of our economic resources on improving our renewable and sustainable energy efforts to encourage wise and efficient energy usage. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has funneled millions of dollars to states nationwide to lower residential and commercial energy costs.  Residential and non-residential customers combined make up almost 50% of the energy and carbon emissions in America. State rebate programs fuel business energy-saving efforts with the funding source to upgrade to more efficient measures.

Connecticut’s Ameresco Commercial and Industrial Rebate Program provides incentives for many technologies, including refrigerators, processing and manufacturing equipment and lighting.  The rebate program gives up to 100% cash back for eligible commercial equipment that has a spike in usage during peak hours in the summer and winter seasons. Many sectors can apply for this rebate program, including industrial, commercial schools and non-profit institutions.

The Connecticut program is accessible statewide for any state customer that upgrades an existing business structure or constructs a new building project. Suitable institutions include schools, healthcare facilities and other businesses with extended hours. The expiration date for Ameresco’s Rebate program is projected to be October of 2011.

The primary criteria for incentive eligibility under the Ameresco Utility Rebate Program is that the energy efficiency projects have to bring about a reduction in energy usage during the summer and winter peak hours. This generous energy rebate offer encourages Connecticut commercial and industrial customers to use employ energy saving efforts. More information about this rebate program is available on the businesses’ website at: www.ameresco.com.
