These cash rewards aid residential and business customers in doing their part to lower power consumption and improve the environment.
Tennessee’s Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation offers rebates to residents and businesses that upgrade to energy-saving equipment. The equipment includes heat pumps, water heaters and new home energy reduction measures that meet certain requirements. Residential and business customers can get $150 for each new heat pump, but commercial customers are eligible for this amount for every 3 tons.
Both commercial and residential sectors can receive $100 in incentives for putting in an electric water heater in their prospective facilities. Upper Cumberland Electric also has a New Homes Energy Program through the Energy Right Program, but recipients of the water and heat pump incentives are ineligible for these rebates. These Tennessee energy rebate programs give state residents help to reducing energy costs and promote environmental health.
