Fluorescent high bay lighting is available for commercial businesses nationwide to improve the energy efficiency of their lighting equipment. Many businesses are switching to lighting that reduces energy consumption and still produces effective color rendering. High bay fixtures do a very effective job of producing good quality lighting that consumes less energy and lasts for a long time.
T8 and T5 lighting is widely used to replace T12 lighting measures in commercial facilities. Fluorescent lamps use about a quarter of the energy of incandescent lamps, yet offer the same amount of illumination. Businesses are stretching their dollars by putting money back in their pockets using energy rebates in their commercial and industrial buildings.
Arizona offers several rebate programs, including the SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions Rebate Program. This program is designed to help businesses to use energy wisely and promote the green campaign that has swept the country. Commercial lighting and other technologies are eligible for attractive state energy rebate offers.
The PowerWise Rebate Program gives out energy rebates based on proven installed demand reduction, when other technologies issue rebates on a per unit basis. Customers can receive $300 per kW for reduced energy demand and $30 for each qualifying occupancy sensor. The most a company can receive for a standard rebate program is up to $200,000 per program year, which runs from May 1, 2010–April 30, 2011. The maximum rebate is 300,000 annually for all SRP rebate programs for non-residential SRP customers.
Companies can save money without compromising on quality and productiveness with fluorescent high bay fixtures. Arizona companies can receive incentives to upgrade to energy efficient high bay lighting equipment. Interested applicants can buy and install eligible measures in their facilities upon SRP project approval.
