Apparently Xcel Energy has another $1.3 Million left to give away on energy efficiency rebates, according to Prairebizmag.com
Federal tax credits are now extended for 2011 but they are at lower levels than previous years.
Xcel Energy executive stated that “There will never be a better time to purchase energy efficient equipment.”Consumer not only can benefit from a lower prices in purchasing energy efficient equipment due to rebates but can also save on the monthly bills. Now is the time to make the upgrades.
4 critical areas to consider are heating, water heating insulation and ground source heat pumps. Up to $5000 in rebates are possible for a homeowner.
Along with the ARRA rebates, residential natural gas customers may apply for existing Xcel Energy heating and water heating rebates, further increasing their savings.
Businesses can qualify for rebates and should investigate the possibilities. They can have rebates up to $15,000.
To qualify the equipment should be purchased after June 1, 2010 These programs are always first-come-first-serve basis. And they are available until December 31, 2011 or until the money is used up.
